Last september I went on a trip to the beautiful city of Venice, Italy. I'm addicted to travelling and Venice was on my wish list for a long time. And I can tell you that it was definitely worth the waiting! What a beautiful city. Along with London and Prague it's in my favourite top 3 of the most beautiful places in Europe!

Fujifilm X-pro2 combined with the Fujinon 90mm F/2.0. What an amazing set! That bokeh, that sharpness and that amazing flare! Do i need to say more? Love this combo!
The 90mm F/2.0 is fast, tack sharp and the creaminess of the bokeh is so yummy! The moment you snap a shot with this lens, you will forget the size of the lens.
If you're still in doubt of buying this lens, don't! In my opinion it's the best Fujinon lens there is, especially for portraiture!

Zo jammer.. Dat geld kun je beter besteden aan een gezellig dagje uit met je gezin of vrienden. Daar houd je nog een mooie herinnering aan over ook! smile emoticon
Om scherpte in je foto te krijgen heb je namelijk echt geen dure lens of camera nodig met usm, hypersonic, IS, turbo, speed, ultra geavanceerd focussysteem enz. nodig. 9 van de 10 keer is het mijns inziens een "user error".
De onderstaande foto's zijn gemaakt met een hele goedkope analoge lens van meer dan 50 jaar oud! En toen bestonden al die toeters en bellen die je tegenwoordig aangesmeerd worden nog niet. Het instellen van de focus gaat handmatig. En toch is de foto scherp!
Natuurlijk, sommige moderne dingen hebben wel degelijk nut. Vooral voor het gemak van de fotograaf. Maar mijns inziens is het geheim van een goede, scherpe foto én goed in focus, heel simpel.
Het belangrijkste ingredient is geduld!
- Geduldig wachten op het juiste moment.
- Geduld nemen om een goede compositie te maken die je achteraf niet hoeft bij te snijden.
- Geduld om te leren hoe je camera werkt en goed (manueel) te leren focussen.
- Geduld nemen om de situatie en je onderwerp te observeren.
Maar bovenal geduld en tijd nemen om contact te maken met degene die je voor je camera hebt staan. Want fotograferen van mensen gaat niet over de foto maar over de mensen die je fotografeert!
Als je daarnaast zorgt voor een korte sluitertijd, krijg je zelfs met een groot diafragma, zoals in dit geval F/0.95, een scherpe foto.
Oh ja, en vergeet daarnaast niet vooral de handleiding van je camera een keer goed door te lezen. Je zal echt verbaasd zijn wat voor een interessante dingen daar allemaal instaan.

But i like to get out of my comfort zone and be challenged to try something new (or familiair because a few years ago I used strobes a lot).
Larissa, the gorgeous and professional model did a great job and besides that she is a very sweet girl, she is also a real professional. Without complaining she stand against the cold!

I'm obsessed with black & white movies. What i like about them is the use of light and shadows. Back in the days there was only black & white film so to enhance the mood of the scene, the only thing they had was the light and set up.
Simply because there was no color film! I have studied a lot of old movies just because of this. If you want to know what i'm talking about, just grap some popcorn and watch some old school movies like Casablanca, Citizen Kane or The grapes of wrath.
